We grew up in a time when we were spoiled. No Saturday morning cartoons are as good as those we watched in the late 80's and early 90's. If you disagree, that's fine, you're free to be wrong. We know what we're talking about here for sure. These are literally the best Saturday morning cartoons.Try to change our mind, you'll fail!1. Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesHow can you claim to be a kid and not like ninja's who are turtles who eat pizza and skateboard all the time? This is the best of best Saturday morning cartoons. This was literally the best idea anyone has ever had for a show. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and our favorite Michaelangelo rocked Saturday mornings from 1987 to 1996. We're not counting the other animated series that came about later. Original animated series wins the day over all other comers.
2. G.I. JoeThe real American Heroes rank number 2 on our list. We can't put them as number one on the list because despite having 95 episodes, they only lasted from 1985-1986 before they went into syndication. But we loved watching those reruns over and over. Move over Ken, Barbie wants a real American hero who kicked Cobra in the butt, just like the Karate Kid...why does everyone have it out for Cobras?
3. TransformersIf the recent success of Michael Bay with six Transformer movies, with a seventh on the way is any indication of how much people love the Transformers name (we think it is), then they've got to be included here. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and the entire gang do battle against the evil Megatron and his goons Starscream and Shockwave.
4. He-Man and The Masters of The UniverseWe haaave the pooooweeeerrrrr!!!! No, seriously we do. He-Man rocked the casbah for 2 years, battling the evil Skeletor. Thanks to He-Man we've never stopped hitting our gym in our quest to reveal some of those muscles we're not sure even actually exist!
5. ThundercatsWith a little bit longer shelf-life our last show on our list best Saturday morning cartoons, Thundercats had four seasons of butt-kicking action. With unforgettable characters like Lion-O, Cheetara, and Snarf, the Thundercats beat Mumm-Ra back into his sarcophagus without fail! Thundercats HOOOOOOOOOOO!
