I hate and love the fact that I feel moved to write this today. Today is the anniversary of one of the most genuinely kind people to walk this planet being killed in action. It is also the time period if we look back, during which the Battle of the Bulge took place. Many men died then, on those days. Today for me, is a memorial day. For many veterans coming home, they have many days out of the year that are of insurmountable significance. These days are days where they are reminded of their own mortality, the fragile nature of life and the sacrifice of one they considered family. Feelings change throughout the years each time the anniversary comes around. At times we laugh at the memories of their hilarious personalities and pranks, other times we find ourselves regrettably wishing it was us instead of them...for they were often times the best of us.I don't wish to be melancholy or so unseasonably morose, I'd just like to get it off my chest that we all have different reactions to the changing
