For those of you who don't know, the F-4 is a two seated twin engine fighter jet, first entering service with the U.S. Navy. It would later be used by the USAF and USMC, and had multiple capabilities, including a top speed of more than Mach 2.2 and the ability to carry 18,000 pounds of weaponry. Unfortunately, a sacrificial lamb was needed. At the time F-4s were plentiful, so one was snatched up for the test. Put on a rocket propelled track, it was accelerated to 500 mph.At the end of the track was a 470 ton, 23×12 ft. concrete block. It weighed approximately 25 times more than the plane.
And this was the result of that test. Please note: if you love America and all our glorious firepower, this may be difficult to watch:https://youtu.be/--_RGM4Abv8Let us know what you think in the comments section and on our social media!
