Making the decision to go skydiving in the first place takes some courage. The chances of death are 1 in 100,000, and human error is often the cause more than equipment failure. So when thrill seeker Luke Aikins decided to go skydiving equipment-free, his risks increased significantly.
He had a safety net, however. Literally. Aikins decided that, rather than wearing a parachute or wing suit to slow his decent, he'd just aim for a 100 ft. by 100 ft. net placed 200 feet above the ground. That's all the protection he had against becoming human-flavored pancake batter.
"I got this guys."
Aikins dove from a height of 25,000 feet with no guarantee that he would hit his target, or if he'd go splat instead. The resulting video definitely spiked our adrenaline levels, especially after the rest of his companions open their chutes.
What is the most dangerous thing you've ever done? Would you be willing skydive like this?
