The U.S. guided missile destroyer, the USS Nitze, was harassed by four Iranian boats in the Persian Gulf on Tuesday.The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps vessels conducted a high-speed intercept and closed within a very short distance of the American ship, despite numerous warnings.The USS Nitze was transiting international waters in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz. It fired flares and sounded the horn to warn the smaller watercraft, but received no response.In the video, a voice can be heard describing the encounter in real time."Bridge to bridge comms were conducted, no response," the unidentified sailor says at one point.
Iranian Boats Harass U.S. Ships Often
