Ah, the B-movie. One of my personal guilty pleasures. I've spent many a night with the Mystery Science Theater 3000 gang, pizza, and a couple beers. There's a real art to making a movie so bad it's good, and of all the terrible "action" movies I've seen, this one might just win first place."Rampage" is the Turkish take on the Rambo movies from Hollywood. Classic 80's action hero flick - sweaty, shirtless dude with enough muscle for two men blows some stuff up, shoots a few baddies, and saves the day. But this movie is on another level when it comes to execution because they make this guy's main weapon a rocket launcher. There's a concept in film called "continuity" that helps a story logically flow from one scene to the next. Some movies go for the "infinite ammo" angle to try and get around the time-consuming task of finding more bullets, but you can't really do that with a rocket launcher- OR CAN YOU.In their infinite wisdom, the people behind this masterpiece decided to make this guy's ammo just magically appear from the ammo dimension. Rockets just laying on the ground, rockets suddenly just loaded into the launcher, who cares, more explosions! And the sound. The sound that the launcher makes. Whoever was behind that editing decision, I'm so proud of you. You really did your homework, man. Rocket launchers sound exactly like taking a rubber cap off a bottle. THOONK.There's more I haven't mentioned - the stage fighting, the terrible "death" reactions, but I can't do this thing justice. Do yourself a favor and watch this scene. It will change your life. It taught me everything I could ever want to know about being a BAMF in less than 5 minutes.
