Travis Kelce's Donkey Kong punch
In what could be the best touchdown celebration of this NFL season (we will have to wait and see), Tight End Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs, showed us a Nintendo celebration.https://youtu.be/-FviiIQDDeYFrom CBS Sports:When Travis Kelce scored his second touchdown on Sunday, the Chiefs tight end broke out a celebration that my colleague, Ryan Wilson, dubbed the "wind-it-up-punch-the-hell-out-of-the-ball celebration." Others have called it "The Fist of Zeus."Both seem like pretty accurate descriptions.
Kelce has since provided an explanation for his celebration. Apparently, it was inspired by Donkey Kong from Nintendo's "Super Smash Bros."
Wait ... what?"I got the actual move from Super Mario Smash Brothers," Kelce said on NFL Network. "I mean, Donkey Kong was the original, what they called the 'Fist of Zeus.' He had the original Fist of Zeus on Smash Bros."See the full story and commentary at CBS Sports.[mwi-cat-listing cat="94" ppp="4" cols="4" desc="false" type="view" btn_color="black" ]
