Call us, we're alone too. Just kidding don't call us, that'd be creepy and weird, mainly because we haven't given you our number and we're not sure how you got it. We digress. So you're alone on Valentines Day, that uber-commercialized time of year for people to spend tons of cash on superficial displays of affection. We tried to prepare the couples among our readers a few weeks ago, so for those of you who are going to be alone, we'll try to help soothe your pain (we know it's a fake holiday, but it doesn't make it hurt any less). So the first thing we suggest you do is that you get a really awesome action movie. It doesn't matter if you're a guy or a girl, the last thing you're going to want to do is get in those feels on Valentines Day. We mean ACTION movie! Like the worse the plot and the more shoot em up the better. No love stories, no chance to get sucked into emotional turmoil. We're thinking something like Judge Dredd or Blade.

Alone on Valentines Day

The next thing you're going to want to do is avoid alcohol and romantic foods (steak, lobster, etc..). It's going to depress you and get you in those ever-dangerous feels that make you think texting your ex is a great idea. Both alcohol and texting your ex-are horrible ideas on Valentines Day. Popcorn, junk food, and soda are your friends for this night and this night alone. (Sorry we said alone).

Alone on Valentines Day

Last but not least, turn off your phone and go to bed early. But do remember to set your alarm. You don't want to be on Facebook torturing yourself or staying up late at night, that's when the feels hit. Just take our advice. Watch your movie, eat your junk food and pass out without looking at social media.
