There are only 1440 minutes in a day. Colton Smith ensures that he uses every single one of them. As an active duty soldier and a professional MMA fighter, Colton Smith is fighting the good fight perfecting and honing his skills as a leader and a warrior. All knowledge is useful, Colton Smith knows this. How do we know? An infantryman by trade, Colton has never stopped seeking self-improvement through earning his Airborne, Ranger and Sapper tabs in the United States Army. After his deployment to Iraq in 2007-2008, the former high school wrestler entered a Gladiator Fight Club challenge. Only seven days after he had returned from a war-zone Colton, won that fight, fifty-two seconds into the first round by TKO. This earned him some notoriety, to say the least. Both his career in the Army and his career as a fighter were starting to take shape.Over the next several years Colton deployed once again, and eventually was featured on The Ultimate Fighter, getting special permission to appear on the show from the Army. The season progressed as did Colton, eventually winning the fight against Mike Ricci and being crowned The Ultimate Fighter 16 winner.[caption id="attachment_17253" align="alignnone" width="750"]
