What do you think this looks like at first glance? A laser pointer? Part of a pen? It's actually a MAC SSSW (Single Shot Survival Weapon), known as a "Stinger." Weapons like these were used from World War II and onward as a last resort to take down an enemy and get out alive. The weapon fires a single bullet, typically a .22 LR round. Not very powerful from a distance, but put that to someone's head and pull the trigger, it's almost a guaranteed kill. The CIA is most famous for using these, and devices like these, on covert missions. The unique design allows the gun to be, er, "stored" as a suppository, or it could be swallowed as a last resort. Designs for weapons like these included full-size pens, lipstick tubes, and even cigars.
