HYPER-BURST: The 1,800 Rounds-Per-Minute Burst-Firing AN-94

Controlled pair? No need to worry about pulling that trigger twice anymore. The Russian AN-94 solves that problem with what they call their two-shot Hyper-Burst, firing so fast that 2 rounds are down range before the recoil is even perceived. If it were to fire at a continuous rate, it would equate to 1,800 rounds per minute. That's about as fast as the .50 cal Gatling Gun. In fact it's so fast that to actually see the bolt move for both rounds you have to slow the video down tremendously. Watch the video below and see what we're talking about. This could be a definite advantage for those on the battlefield that have only the basics of rifle marksmanship down. Shooting controlled pairs accurately and quickly is not necessarily easy and that's why the military practices it quite often. For those who are still unsure what a "controlled pair" is, it's a double tap, the military just calls it something different.
