Christopher “Big Black” Boykin passed away yesterday at the age of 45. What caused his death hasn’t been disclosed but a few outlets are indicating it was a heart attack.Hailing from Mississippi Big Black was a veteran of the United States Navy before he started a career as a bodyguard. It was as a bodyguard that he met Rob Dyrdek and became famous from the MTV reality show “Rob & Big”. There was a later spin-off that he shared with Dyrdek again called “Fantasy Factory”.His catchphrase “Do Work” was wildly popular during the shows run from 2006-2008. One of the funniest episodes of the show was when he accepted a dare to perform on stage at a male strip club. He donned a Rick James style wig, danced under the name “Black Lavendar” and killed it. Watch it if you can, it’s hilarious.Dyrdek paid tribute to Big Black after his death."We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can't fathom that it would end so suddenly," he wrote on Twitter. "You will forever be in my heart."He left behind a nine-year-old daughter and ex-wife.
