Service takes many forms, but the standard never changes.
This week, U.S. Secret Service Director Curran welcomed Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Carlos A. Ruiz to Secret Service Headquarters to discuss opportunities for Marines to continue their service beyond active duty. The meeting reflects a long-standing partnership between two institutions built on discipline, trust, and mission-first leadership.
For generations, Marines have carried values that translate directly to the demands of federal law enforcement, accountability, attention to detail, composure under pressure, and commitment to something larger than themselves. The Secret Service recognizes that experience matters, and that veterans bring more than skills. They bring judgment earned through service.
The transition from the military to civilian life doesn’t mean stepping away from purpose. For many veterans, it means finding the next place where standards still matter and service still counts. Careers with the U.S. Secret Service offer that continuation, protecting people, institutions, and the nation itself with the same seriousness worn in uniform.
Different mission. Same responsibility. Same commitment.
For Marines and veterans looking for the next chapter, the door remains open.
