We're not going to put these guys in any particular order as these types of things are subjective. In fact, we might piss a few people off by leaving some names off of this list, but one thing is certain, the masters of shred and harmony that are on this list, definitely belong on this list. These are 5 of the best rock guitarists of all time.Jimi Hendrix
If we were to pick a number one, which we're not, we'd have to go with Jimi Hendrix. That man was a gift from the guitar gods and we don't think we've ever met anyone who disputes his relevance in the world of rock and roll. Also, just saying, Jimi Hendrix served in the Army so, there's also that. Definitely belongs on the list of best rock guitarists, no doubt.Eddie Van Halen
Have you ever walked into a guitar store and seen someone trying to replicate 'Eruption'? Yeah, they probably weren't doing too well with it. It's hard to friggin do cause that song is a masterpiece. Eddie had some serious speed and creativity when it came to the guitar.Jimmy Page
Led Zeppelin paved the way for heavy metal, how Jimmy Page wouldn't be included on this list is beyond us. So he's here. When you think of how prolific led Zeppelin was and how creative each guitar piece was, its impossible to discount Jimmy Page's contributionsStevie Ray Vaughan
Could be argued that he was more of a blues guitarist than anything else, but given his induction into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame in 2015 we're including him here. Not many folks could make the guitar weep, sing and wail like Stevie could.Eric Clapton
The tone was gritty and dirty but somehow shined through bright and clean in songs like 'Layla' and 'Cocaine'. Then you had the soulful songs like 'Tears in Heaven' that certainly contributed to many of our births. Eric Clapton could do it all, and his playing style mimicked that. Eric Clapton was not to be put in a box.Honorable Mentions: Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammet, George Harrison, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Toki Wartooth
