Battle Scarred Motor Sports is more than just a racing team; it’s a beacon of hope and community for veterans and first responders. Founded with the mission of using motorsports to aid in mental health resiliency, the organization offers an environment where service members can reconnect with like-minded individuals and find solace through the thrill of racing.
We are no strangers to the world of racing, or the veteran community, and nothing brings veterans and first responders together like spiking our adrenaline levels, after all.
About the Organization
Battle Scarred Motor Sports started with Marines Brian Czech and Brian Fennell. Czech had sold his vehicle prior to a MEU deployment and returning home found himself with nowhere to expend his energies. After connecting with his friend Fennell, they opened Battle Scarred Motor Sports with a simple setup of one car and a tent in 2018. Today, it boasts eight operational cars with more in development, spread across five state chapters. The primary goal is to provide veterans and first responders with a supportive community and an exciting outlet to cope with the challenges they face post-service.
Mental Health and Community Impact
Dedicated to helping veterans and first responders deal with the often-overlooked mental health issues that arise from their service Battle Scarred Motor Sports understands that many veterans struggle with reintegration into civilian life, dealing with PTSD, and finding a sense of purpose. Through racing, they offer a therapeutic experience that promotes camaraderie and healing. The organization’s cars serve as more than just racing machines; they are vessels of hope and recovery.
