Building A Morning Routine For An Unstoppable Day
Are you looking for a morning routine to crush the day? Establishing a powerful morning routine can set the tone for your entire day, creating unstoppable momentum that propels you toward your goals. In this post, I’ll share the strategy I use to kickstart my mornings, ensuring I’m ready to take on the day.
The Night Before: Setting the Stage
A successful next day begins the night before. I have three tasks that I complete before heading to bed. First, I plan my fitness and firearms workout using The Firearms Training Notebook. This preparation not only keeps me accountable but also ensures that I’m not trying to figure it out in the morning.
Second, using another notebook, I outline my tasks for my company, War HOGG Tactical and my podcast On The Range Podcast. This might include phone calls, emails, or carryover tasks I did not complete that day, all organized in my company notebook. I break my day into manageable time chunks, setting specific goals for each task. This not only keeps me organized but also provides a sense of accomplishment as I check items off my list throughout the day. By doing this, I now know I have a clear plan for my business / podcast for the next day.
Lastly, I engage in daily journaling. This practice allows me to reflect on my day, express gratitude, self-improvement and set intentions for tomorrow. It’s a powerful way to clear my mind and prepare for a productive day ahead.
Waking Up: Embracing the Sunrise
I set my alarm for 5:30 AM, and this decision serves multiple purposes. First, it ensures I witness the beauty of the sunrise, a daily reminder of new beginnings. Second, it grants me some quiet time before the world awakens.
When my alarm goes off, I take that first breath and express gratitude. I thank God for another day and ask for wisdom, power, and strength to face whatever lies ahead and His will be done. This moment of gratitude sets the tone for my day.
Morning Hydration: Fueling the Body
After brushing my teeth, I drink 16 ounces of water to rehydrate my body after a night’s sleep. Hydration is crucial for optimal brain function and energy levels, so I make it a priority.
Next, I prepare a cup of black coffee with MCT oil. This combination not only fuels my body but also sharpens my mind, providing the clarity I need to tackle the day.
Prayer: Centering the Mind
I dedicate time to prayer and reading the Bible. This allows me to build a better relationship with God and ask for God’s blessing not only for my family but for others. I have a guide for reading the Bible in 365 days, it only takes about 10 to 15 minutes a day.
Putting Miles on the Road: The Workout
I make my pre workout drink, 1st Phorm Megawatt, and it’s time to put miles on the road, anywhere from 3 to 5 miles. There is nothing better than watching that sunrise as your running. Post run I engage in my functional fitness and firearms workout, which is preplanned the night before using The Firearms Training Notebook. I have a garage gym, which saves me travel time. This not only keeps me physically fit but also sharpens my firearms skills at the same time.
Exercise releases endorphins, which elevate my mood and energy levels. Exercise is also great rehab for those of us with TBIs. Whether it’s cardio, functional fitness, and dry fire firearms training, this part of my routine is non-negotiable. It’s my time to push my limits, build resilience and build my firearms skills. Once I’m finished with my workout, I get my 1st Phorm protein on board to start rebuilding my muscles.
Crushing the Day: Executing The Plan
Once I’ve completed my workout, I turn my attention to the day ahead. I review my notes from the night before and prioritize my tasks. This step is crucial for maintaining focus and ensuring that I’m working today’s tasks and remembering any appointments / zoom calls or On The Range Podcast I might have that day. I used to be more focused on our social posts, however after getting deactivated I found it was a terrible return on time spent. We did get the Instagram handle @warhoggtactical but lost all our post and followers.
The Power of Discipline: Making It a Habit
Building an unstoppable morning routine requires discipline. I’ve found that sticking to this routine, even on weekends and when you are tired, helps reinforce the habits I’ve developed. It’s important to have accountability, something like being a On The Range “CREW” member or with other like-minded people to keep you on track.
Over time, these practices have become second nature, allowing you to start each day with purpose and intention. The key is to remain flexible and adjust as needed, but always return to the core elements that work for me. That is my fitness, firearms, and faith.
Conclusion: Your Path to Success
Creating an unstoppable morning routine is a powerful way to set yourself up for success. By preparing the night before, waking up early, and engaging in activities that nourish your body and mind, you can build momentum that carries you through the day.
Remember, the key is consistency and finding what works best for you. Start small, and gradually incorporate these practices into your morning routine. Before you know it, you’ll be crushing your days and achieving your goals with unstoppable momentum.
Embrace the power of your morning routines and watch as your life transforms!
