Michael Flynn is the most recent name in the pool of candidates for VP alongside Donald Trump. Flynn has not wasted any time making quite a stir in the political sphere. With his tough personality and complicated history under President Obama, it's not hard to see why. So, who is Michael Flynn? Here are 5 facts you need to know now:1.) Flynn is a 33 year Army Veteran.The retired United States Army lieutenant general has also served as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. He was also commander of the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and chair of the Military Intelligence Board. In short, his career has centered largely around Military intelligence, and the regulation of such.2.) He was sacked by the Obama administration a year before his retirement.The reasons for such actions are diverse, but one instance that certainly contributed to the problem was his outspoken proposal for sweeping changes to the DIA. He went so far as to recommend that half of the Pentagon's Civilian workforce be let go. This move that would have compromised nearly 400,000 government jobs.
