Despite an overall downward trend in violence in the United States for the last couple of years, concern for safety and well being has encouraged many citizens to acquire a license to carry a firearm. We view this as a step in the right direction, after all, laws are only pieces of paper. With the increase in persons carrying firearms, we thought it only proper and decent to give some practical rules for gunfighting to those that may not have had the benefit of experience as we did.Number One: Duck!Yes, you read that right. You should probably duck behind some sort of cover and concealment or just to make yourself smaller. Big targets are easier to hit and if you're going to be any good to anyone in the gunfight, you might not want to stand up all plain as day like the bright shining sun. Scrooch down and make yourself harder to hit, because you're no good to anyone if you're bleeding everywhere.

Number Two: Move! While staying small, you should be moving. Staying in the same place generally ends up bad for you. You get pinned down by fire or what not and are unable to return fire. You may have to expose yourself momentarily leaving the safety of your cover and concealment, but staying in the same place is NOT ALWAYS the best idea.Number Three: !We saved this for number three because while it is EXTREMELY important if you're a big target and you're not moving, chances are when you go to squeeze your trigger, you'll already have more than the recommended amount of holes in your body. Add emphasis to the accurately part. You're not in a war zone, you don't have ammo resupply coming and chances are there are way more innocent folks than bad guys. So pick your shots carefully. Know your target and what lies beyond it, ya dig?Number Four: Stop when the Police arriveRambo, you are not. When the police arrive, they may know you're a good guy, they may not. Stay safe, but ensure that you and your weapon look like as little of a threat as possible to them. You don't wanna get popped because you think you're John Wick when you're more like John Prick.
