You remember Happy Gilmore, right? Yep, that's the scene that comes to mind for us, too! But new reports indicate another start from the flick has had better days. Golf's biggest fictional villain just ran into some trouble off the green. Christopher McDonald, who we all remember as the antagonist Shooter McGavin of "Happy Gilmore" fame, reportedly lost control of his Porsche and crashed at about 9 p.m. in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, eyewitness report the 62-year-old actor decided to play the Hollywood card when police arrived on the scene. Rather than calmly take direction from officers, McDonald decided it was abundantly important that he inform police after that he starred in "Happy Gilmore." We doubt that made much of an impact on the officers.
Eyewitnesses couldn't say if the police on the scene were fans of the movie, McDonald or even Adam Sandler (though his last Netflix offerings would lead us to believe they weren't). Regardless, they took "Shooter' to jail and later released him without bail. This isn't the first time the actor has run into trouble with drunk driving in North Carolina in 2013. TMZ reports that McDonald was seen drinking beer earlier in the day at an Oktoberfest celebration. Hey Shooter: It might be time to get some help.
