For those unwilling to fight for it. I don't mean via martial prowess or a physical fight, although at times it might be so. Rather, fight with every ounce of your being to make it so. I hate to come off so motivated this morning as it might come across as insincere, but as I scrolled the top stories on my phone and across the vastness that is the internet, I see story after story after story after story of ordinary people, of every color and creed, with a tremendous amount of fight within their being, making their American Dreams come true. But for those expecting the American Dream to just be...gifted upon them via silver platter, that's not how this works that's not how any of this works. On the flip side of those I see and read about making their American Dreams come true, are many people from different walks of life, of all races and creeds and they're playing the blame game. It's always someone else's fault. There is always a way they can lay blame at the feet of someone else, whether it be corporations or the government or your neighbor or that guy who bullied you in the 5th grade...there is always an excuse."Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking." -Marcus Aurelius The two types of people I've described, if you compared life stories and put them side by side...they are relatively the same. The same hardships, the same obstacles...in our human condition we are not absent flaws and poor choices and situations out of our control. The American Dream is real for those willing to see the obstacles and hardships as opportunities to prove themselves, to become stronger to grow past their comfort zone. The American Dream isn't real for those who choose to allow those same obstacles to define their failure. As one of the captains of industry for this great country once stated;"Whether you think you can or can't, either way, you are right." -Henry Ford
