This is going to be a mouthful (cue the various jokes based on that softball we just lobbed), the Grunt StyleVortex Optics Mammoth Sniper Challenge presented by Realtree Outdoors® has its victors. The competition has come and gone and the team coming out on top happen to be none other than two extremely precise warriors from the United States Marine Corps. Andy Slade and Steven Thompson went yard and brought home the dubbayuh (pronounced W)!While many people competed, the Marines had something to prove after the world sniper competition in which the branch who shall not be named placed above our beloved Corps. Maybe it was an off day for those Marines, but these Marines came back with a vengeance at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia.Three days of enduring the elements and precisely placing powerful projectiles prominently, predictably and positively on target with proper prior planning preventing piss poor performance. These Marines knew what was up. They knew they had to give a solid showing and put the world on notice that Marine Corps precision long-range shooting is back on the throne as the true kings.

Andy Slade and Steven Thompson outclassed and outshot all the other competitors.

We're not saying that the other competitors were bad, in fact, all competitors made a grand showing, but these two Marines, well, they made sure that their names and their branch would go down in history as the winners of the 2019 Grunt StyleVortex Optics Mammoth Sniper Challenge presented by Realtree Outdoors®.While bragging rights for this year belong to the United States Marine Corps and the dynamic duo of Andy Slade and Steven Thompson, next year the age-old question remains;

"What have you done for me lately?"

Will Andy Slade and Steven Thompson rise to the challenge and become back to back champions? Will some rowdy newcomers prove they have what it takes to unseat two of America's finest? Show up next year and find out!
