Is the Taliban really SPIE rigging over Kabul in a Black Hawk?!
Reddit user u/Common_Echo_9061 posted a viral image in r/afghanistan. The picture claims the Taliban has managed to fly one of the captured UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Furthermore, that they are now using it for Special Patrol Insertion and Extraction (SPIE) rope techniques over Kabul. Some time referred to as "spy-rigging," this allows operators to get in and out of impractical situations.
If these claims are true, it would be an additional embarrassment to the highly criticized withdrawal of Afghanistan.
