At least nine people have been killed and several more are injured after a truck tore through a market in Berlin at Breitscheidplatz close to the Kurfuerstendamm, one of the main shopping centers in the city. Video from the scene of the attack shows several stalls decimated, and people lying motionless on the ground.CNN and FOX report at least 50 injured, while other news organizations have not yet released a count.According to local authorities in Germany, the driver of the vehicle is still on the run.
One witness at the scene tweeted out this message to her firends and family:

The market is very busy at this time of year, and would be hard to access by accident, according to locals. The attack stings of the same type of terrorism seen in Nice this past summer.UPDATE: The AP has just reported that the driver has been caught and is in Custody, according to German Police.
