Well, put us in a dress and give us a blonde wig and call us Shirley. We were certainly SHOCKED, SHOCKED we tell you, to find out that OJ Simpson did indeed kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. We don't mean to be cavalier about it, but seriously who didn't know? At the end of the day in your heart, did we really think he was innocent after everything that transpired? While publishing OJ Simpson's book "If I Did It" Judith Regan was contacted by the lawyers of Mr. Simpson and was subsequently told that he was the responsible party for the headline-inducing murders.
The thing about this whole deal, for those of you that can remember, is that it was based on the famous line of "if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit" uttered by Johnny Cochran. The legal staff that Simpson had arrayed against the accusers was nothing short of an all-star line-up. The case dominated the evening news, it was legitimately a "murder-mania", We all knew he was guilty. Everyone knew it at the time. One does not simply lead police on the most famous car chase in the existence of car chases if you're innocent.Everything comes out in the wash. Even through years and years of silence, OJ maintained his innocence. Yet now, in this tell-all book, the truth finally comes out, straight from the source. For the families of the victims though, justice won't be served. As all barracks lawyers know, through the protection of the 5th amendment of the United States Constitution, OJ Simpson cannot be tried again for this offense. The man has legitimately gotten away with murder.[caption id="attachment_16863" align="alignnone" width="750"]
Simpson finally goes to jail for kidnapping and robbery, 13 years after the murder of his Ex-Wife and Ron Goldman[/caption]With this admission going forward, and the leaps in forensic technology, we can only hope that something like this never happens again.
