This article is coming at you from our friends over at Alpha Outpost.Anchoring the stropThere are a variety of leather strops and belts to choose from, find one that is fitting to you. You should secure your strop to a non moving point. DO NOT secure the strop to a door handle, chair or hook anchored into drywall. If you do this you may end up with a nickname like "Freddy four fingers." The best advice I can give you is to install a hook into a stud on either the right or left side of your sink.

Using the stropNow that your strop is safely anchored you can pull it taut and begin stropping the blade. Do not apply pressure as you strop. Lead with the spine while keeping the blade as flat as possible. Slide the razor in a diagonal manner so the entire blade is stropped across the canvas. Next you want to roll the razor and have the spine facing you as you slide the blade towards you. Repeat this 50-60 times to ensure the blade is straight.
