Top 5 water cooler assaults
Nothing is more beaten up in baseball (minus the 2015 Phillies) than the Gatorade Cooler. It seems that every time a player is mad, they have to hit one. Is it the color? Maybe they don't like the flavor of Gatorade inside? Whatever the reason, here are the top 5 water cooler assaults.#5 Chris Sale- Chicago White Sox. 23 August, 2013During the middle of the 7th inning, after giving up 8 runs to the Rangers up to that point.https://youtu.be/qiwJm4wYM6s#4 Hector Santiago- Los Angeles Angels. 19 September, 2014After being pulled from the game after 1 plus innings, and giving up 7 runs, Santiago took his anger out on that defenseless cooler.
#3. Brian Wilson- San Francisco Giants.
After blowing a save in the 9th, his 2nd blown save in a row, Wilson took his fury out on this cooler. Don't worry though, the cooler was patched up and ready for the next game, after receiving care.
#2 Sean Rodriguez- Pittsburgh Pirates.
During the loss to the Cubs in the NL wildcard game 7 October, 2015. After a bench clearing hit by pitch, Rodriguez, who did not play, had to get in on the action.
#1 The Chicago Cubs. This machine went through so much in the 2009 season that it was retired only 2 months in.
