JLTVs will not be used if there is a conflict in the near future. Why? We just don't have enough of them. So what will the Marine Corps and Army do? They'll use gun trucks the same as my ass did in '05 and the same as Marines and soldiers in the early days of the Global War on Terror used. This certainly seems like a moment where Chris Carter looks the camera dead in the eye and says "C'mon man".We spent all this money trying to ensure that we have a vehicle that can offer improved protection and all that jazz, but despite our huge budget and fast procurement of other shit, the ground pounders get no love. The procurement for the number of vehicles we'll be needing is set to take a little over a decade to replace all of the Humvees.Do you guys remember way back in the World War 2 era, we went from total aircraft production of like three thousand planes a year to a total three hundred thousand planes produced in a little under six years, yet now for the grunts, the sleeping in mud, gettin' shot at all the damn time, gettin' blown up and losing hearing dudes that kick in doors and take the fight to the enemy...yeah it's gonna be ten years before we give you the upgraded protection and speed you should have.As always, as will forever be, the ground pounders get no love. But the fighter pilots have gotten two brand new state of the art aircraft in the last 20 years that cost hundreds of millions of dollars...I know I know air superiority and all, but as a grunt, it just hurts to see my boys in the trenches getting played again. I should know better, things never change because...in the true spirit of the grunt...“We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.” ― Konstantin Josef Jireček
