It has been over 30 years since the movie Top Gun has been released, but Tom Cruise just confirmed this week that a part two is officially in the near future!The American romantic military action-drama was filmed in 1986. Cruise's character, Maverick, was a cocky student attending the Naval Fighter Weapons School with a reckless attitude who is competing to become the best in his class while also trying to gain the attention of his flight instructor, Charlie, who is played by Kelly McGillis.At the time the actor was traveling to promote his upcoming movie, The Mummy. He was featured on Australia's morning TV show "Sunrise" when the hosts popped the question in regards to all of the rumors that have been all over the internet.Filming will begin sometime in the next year!
