Cop Talks Suicidal Man Down with Mutual Hatred of Dallas Cowboys

There are few things that bring two humans together like the mutual hatred of something else. This cop utilized that truth to talk a man out of taking his life.Body cam footage shows the cop attempting to connect with the man sitting on the edge of a bridge as he contemplates suicide. The officer brings up a couple of upcoming football games to try and refocus the man's attention on positive things in his future rather than the present.After hearing the man say "I hate Dallas," and learning that he was a Washington fan, he knew exactly where to take the conversation."I'll see you sometime next week one day and say ,'How about those Redskins?' I'm definitely gonna pull for them when they play Dallas because I hate Dallas," the officer said.Shortly thereafter, the man was able to be lifted off of the railing and back onto solid ground.
