Yesterday, Fort Bragg had a full blown Twitter meltdown. The official account of the US Army base made a series of extremely lewd tweets. Most of which were in response to an adult model's nude pictures. For scientific purposes, the model's twitter handle is @quinfinite10. The tweets are too spicy for us to post, but can be read here. Just let them know American Grit sent you.The base initially said the tweets were the work of a hacker, and not an administrator. However, the U.S. Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps made the following statement:"This morning, at the initiation of an investigation into yesterday’s incident regarding inappropriate tweets on the Fort Bragg Twitter account, an administrator for the account identified himself as the source of the tweets. Appropriate action is underway."Subsequently, the U.S. Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps was trolled in the comments. Many people commented they believed the Army tried to blame hackers instead of taking accountability. Although, others say they would have done the same thing.
The fall out
Fort Bragg deleted their 60k follower Twitter account. However, not before Quinfinite10 made several comments about the incident. One of which included, "anyway, befriend a sex worker, dismantle the military industrial complex."
Our heartfelt condolences goes out to that soldier. Certainly, this does not look good for his career. In contrast Quinfinite is now the most popular person in Fort Bragg. Support local artists I suppose? Regardless, please be careful what you do, and post online.Send and tips or leads to the editor at Dan.Sharp@gruntstyle.com
