There is nothing less tactful and more egregious than an "I told you so" after a tragedy. So we won't do that, but we will ask the simple question that those who would strip us of our 2nd amendment rights have yet to answer. If guns are innately evil; if all they do is cause problems and strife, then why are we protecting the President of the United States and other VIPs with guns? Why, if guns are so evil are the Broward County public schools ensuring that an armed guard is at every single school next year? We're not asking for a whole lot here, we're simply asking for intellectual consistency when it comes down to our reactions. This move comes on the heels of the Parkland shooting and will ensure the safety of students. So in one breath, the same people that are quick to blame guns and demand for their ban, suggest utilizing people with firearms to ensure the safety of the schools. We're sorry, but that train of logic cannot abide for long. You cannot make these outlandish claims and be taken seriously. It is a fundamental contradiction of thought. It is good to see that there are some that acknowledge a rule that has long been present in nature and the realm of violence, "If you don't give someone a reason to stop attacking you, they will continue to attack you."Whether in a fist fight and punching back, or a firefight and shooting back. We as a nation, we as people must recognize that there is a need to adequately defend ourselves against any unlawful aggressor. In a perfect world, we wouldn't have to worry about such things, but we don't live in a perfect world. We live in a world that is harsh and unforgiving. We must be prepared to confront the evil that resides.
