Hong Kong Protests Draw Beijing's Ire

"Chinese society is all too aware that a zero-tolerance policy is the only remedy for such destructive behavior." This is the comment made by The Global Times, one of the propaganda arms of Beijing in reference to Hong Kong protestors storming the governing chambers and spray painting pro-Democracy messages. Zero tolerance for you and your freedoms Hong Kong, big China is the big mad because you don't see the glory that is Communism (that last part was sarcasm in case you couldn't tell). Basically big China is saying "We're going to definitely arrest pro-democracy protestors."These latest demonstrations are just one of many that the citizens of Hong Kong have staged amid Beijing trying to interfere more and more in the governance of Hong Kong. Hong Kong for those of you that don't know, gets to maintain a somewhat democratic and non-authoritarian type government ever since the British lost their lease in 1999. But recently, China and Hong Kong leadership have been...colluding more and more and well people aren't super excited about it.Beijing, none too thrilled about people acting in their best interest and refusing Commie control had this to say about the protests.“Such serious illegal acts trampled on Hong Kong’s rule of law, damaged Hong Kong’s social order, harmed Hong Kong’s interests – it is a blatant challenge to the bottom line of ‘One Country, Two Systems,' ”We're not betting men but if we were...ahh to hell with it, we've got a smooth $20 that China at least attempts to come down hard on the protestors should they continue. Beijing is busy trying to one-up the United States, can't be having its people starting a revolution that undermines that Commie way of life. Sowing the discontent and what not.As China does try to make its push to top the United States as the numero uno military power in the world, it'll be interesting to see if the momentum in Hong Kong carries to other parts of China or if they get like...massively genocided. To the people of Hong Kong, we say this, "Fight the good fight and kill a Commie for mommy."
