Last week a man was shot after he crashed his car into a barricade, then charged Capitol Police with a knife. The attack resulted in the injury of two officers. Both policemen were immediately transported to the hospital. One of the officers, William Evans, did not survive his wounds. The Capitol Police morned the loss of one of their own with the following statement:“It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Officer William 'Billy' Evans this afternoon from injuries he sustained following an attack at the North Barricade by a lone assailant. Officer Evans had been a member of the United States Capitol Police for 18 years. He began his USCP service on March 7, 2003, and was a member of the Capitol Division’s First Responder’s Unit. Capitol attack suspect has also died
The attacker, Noah Green, 25, died as a result of the gunshot wounds sustain during his attack. The perpetrator had allegedly filled paperwork that showed he "sought to change his name from Noah Ricardo Green to Noah Zaeem Muhammad."[caption id="attachment_23330" align="alignnone" width="800"]

Stating to NBC that:“We have designated the incident under our Dangerous Individuals and Organization policy, which means we have removed the suspect’s accounts from Facebook and Instagram, and are removing any content that praises, supports, or represents the attack or the suspect.”Reports have shown that Green had been making extremist statements on his social media prior to the attack.
