Here are the 5 Things You Need To Know for the morning of July 24th.

  1. Ahead of congressional interviews later this week, Jared Kushner released a statement denying any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia and that he has nothing to hide.
  2. Jordan Spieth won his 3rd career grand slam and now heads to North Carolina next week for the PGA Championship looking to complete the career grand slam. If he does he will be the youngest to do so at age 23. By winning the British Open he joined Jack Nicholas as the only player with three career grand slam wins before age 24.
  3. It wasn't in Texas, but a man injured five, two seriously, with a chainsaw in Sweeden. The attack happened in an office building near the German border.
  4. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in Kabul that killed at least 35 and injured more than 40. The bombing targeted mostly government officials and is just the latest in the series of attacks that has killed more than 1700 civilians in Afghanistan in 2017 alone.
  5. [WARNING SPOILER ALERT] Touted for months, Michael Phelps took on a great white shark during Discovery Channel's 'Shark Week'. See how and who won here.
