In a strange turn of events the illustrious Senator from the State of California, Diane Feinstein, stated that no gun laws could have prevented the Las Vegas massacre. Ok, are we in a different dimension or what? What’s her angle here? New laws of course--sorry we got your hopes up (it always is new laws, isn't it?).Senator Feinstein is a noted anti-second amendment supporter who has time and time again asked for Americans to turn in their guns. It must be an alternate reality as the statements by the senator on Face the Nation could not possibly come from her. "He passed background checks registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions."

Feinstein Changes Direction

It’s almost like writing laws doesn’t stop people from being evil. Isn’t that weird? Let’s not go dancing in the streets for victory yet as the Senator doubled down on her belief that new laws may have been able to prevent the atrocity. “Regulation’s aren’t going to do it. We need a law.”Even a broken clock is right twice a day so it’s no surprise to us that Senator Feinstein actually said something intelligent regarding gun control and its demerits. However, she was pretty quick to separate herself from the original statement later on in the week when she said “I don’t know. I would have to take a good look at that and really study it. I’m not sure there is any set of laws that could have prevented it.” First, an absolute, then an "I’m not sure." What can we expect from the Senator next, an “I didn’t say that.” Never one to miss out on an opportunity to politicize a tragedy, Feinstein is not new to the exploitation fellowship that includes her, Hillary Clinton and Washington Governor Jay Inslee. All of which have come out in support of further restrictions on firearms. As much as it pains us to say it, she was right the first time. There was nothing that could have been done to prevent this tragedy from happening. As far as we know, this was a man without motive who had evil in his heart. You can’t rationalize with that. You can’t reason with that. That type of evil will always find a way to accomplish evil deeds. This is why we must always be aware, and as much as we are able, have the proper tools to defend ourselves should the situation arise. Stay vigilant patriots.
