Hall of Fame athlete, Cortez Kennedy, a defensive tackle who played eleven seasons with the Seattle Seahawks was found dead at the age of 48. According to multiple sources, Orlando police have reported that “there is nothing suspicious” about his death but the department is conducting an investigation. The cause of his death is still unclear.Kennedy was born and raised in the state of Arkansas, who won a scholarship to attend the University of Miami. He was drafted third overall by the Seahawks in 1990 and spent his entire NFL career playing for Seattle. He went on to retire in the year 2000 and was inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 2012. He had 58 sacks and started 153 out of 167 games, and was credited with 448 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries and 3 interceptions.
