You probably won't see this story covered on the nightly news. That's why we're bringing it to you.On the morning of May 4th, 2017, a man walked into a sports bar in Arlington Texas. He had a brief altercation with Cesar Perez, the owner of the bar, and then pulled a gun, shooting and killing him. According to police, the shooter had three handguns and a couple of knives on him.(We're not identifying the man who decided to open fire on someone in a public area because their name doesn't deserve to become famous.)Chris Cook, a spokesman for the Arlington Police, told the Dallas News that, "he had the capacity to do much greater harm."
However, unbeknownst to the shooter, another patron at the bar having dinner with his wife had a concealed carry license and was packing heat that day. He told his wife to get down, and before the shooter could harm anyone else in the building, he shot and killed the man.
According to current police reports, further loss of life was effectively prevented by the actions of this brave man who chose to engage the suspect rather cower in fear. The man, who has yet to be identified, is considered a hero by law enforcement.
