Oh, dear lort (that typo is on purpose), we've been supporting the Saudi's in their fight against Houthi rebels in Yemen for quite some time now and quite honestly...if you want to know which side you should be on, it's the side that's hoping for both sides to lose. It's the side that should have the United States take a gigantic step back, and let these idiots kill each other. Is that cold? Is that harsh? Maybe. Buuuuuuuuut...haven't we been fighting wars for our Middle Eastern "allies" ( and we use that term extremely loosely) for a while now?We know we know we know, we can't help ourselves when it comes to getting in a good fight. So here is the breakdown of why everyone in this fight is a gigantic piece of shit and we're better off walking away.Houthi Rebels: In 2003 the Houthi movement took a turn for the worst and instead of focusing on peace as they had started out doing, they became adamant anti-Americans. Backed by Iran and North Korea, they've ousted the president of Yemen and taken hold of the country while committing untold war crimes and atrocities.Saudi Arabia: Man we've wanted to fight this guy for so long. Home to the 19 hijackers that perpetrated the 9/11 attacks, the state-sponsored killing of Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi, a journalist who was critical of the Saudi government and the multitude of other human rights abuses (honor killings, stoning gays, etc...) and the home of one Osama bin Laden...well former home, we kilt (killed) that fool.We know we ought to look at ourselves in the mirror before we go around condemning others. We get it, but there are literally no good guys over there. We're wasting money and wasting time. The only real way we (The United States) wins, is if like...both teams could lose. If the Houthis and the Saudis could both lose, that'd just be, well, f***in great.Oh and all of this aside, there has been a resurgence of Al-Qaeda in Yemen as well. Waging an insurgency...so again we ask...why don't we let all of these dudes just kill each other off?
