Spenser Berry Takes 1st Place in PRS Club Series

Spenser Berry placed 1st overall in the Hollywood Tactical Gun Club PRS club series match in Okeechobee, Florida on March 4th, 2017.The Grunt Style shooting team member competed against 29 other shooters, and against the strong gusts that carried on throughout the match."It was super windy... 6 miles an hour to about 22 miles an hour throughout the day," he said.

Despite the adverse conditions, Spenser nailed first prize. It's the challenge of the sport that keeps him coming back."There's something really satisfying about zeroing your gun, getting it all set up, going out, looking at a target, making your wind call, pulling the trigger and hearing that 'ding!' a few seconds later," he said.[caption id="attachment_10718" align="aligncenter" width="720"]

(Courtesy)[/caption]Grunt Style generously donated some of their clothing for the prize table, a welcome surprise for the organizers of the event."The coolest thing about [the event] was seeing how appreciated the support was for the event from Grunt Style," Spenser said. "It really made a big difference, they were extremely happy and excited that Grunt Style had taken notice of their event and supported them. It really meant a lot to them. My finish was cool, whatever, but the coolest experience I got out of that was being able to make all of those folks happy."

That sense of camaraderie is what Spenser likes best about precision rifle shooting."Everybody's always willing to help you out... the competitors really make this sport what it is," he said.The Hollywood Tactical Gun Range is located on the west side of Lake Okeechobee in Lakeport, Florida.
