Here's why you need the Medic box. We can't tell you the number of times we've been out at a festival, or camping and the inevitable happens. Someone gets a boo-boo that isn't super major but can't necessarily be fixed by a band-aid. Everything from slicing open flesh while chopping firewood or tripping and having a small impalement scenario can happen.
There are few boxes where you should pay attention to the comic/box guide more than this one. If you're going to be doing anything medical related, you need to know the right way to do things. When people's lives are on the line, it'll pay off to have read this months guide. After flipping through the comic, the first item you'll see is the fracture kit. Complete with a hard splint and wrap, it has everything you need to keep a fracture from getting worse. Next up in the box are everyone's favorite go-to tool, trauma shears! These bad boys will rapidly and safely cut through any cloth obstructions on the victim. An always must have for any serious first-aid kit.
The next item up is a profuse bleeding pack. That doesn't mean it produces profuse bleeding, it stops it. While many scenarios are not life-threatening in and of themselves, if blood loss is not controlled it can turn a minor situation into a major situation quick fast in a hurry (duh, right?). Nature has a funny way of telling you to slow down in life. One of the ways nature does that is by giving you a sucking chest wound (uh oh spaghetti-o). Not to fear, if you or someone in your party for some reason get's this tip from nature, you'll be prepared with the sucking chest wound kit. Hopefully, though you don't have to use it.
The Medic Box has three really great kits for everything from a broken bone, to a sucking chest wound. Couple those with the trauma shears and a handy pack for it to fit in and you've got one hell of a box. Check out more unboxings here!
