Grunt Style Beer reviews- I

yuengling light

1. True to its American heritage, Yuengling Light Lager is an exceptional brew that appeals to consumers who don't want to sacrifice character for a low-calorie light beer. It has been masterfully developed to maintain the full flavor profile akin to our flagship Lager brand. Skillfully pairing a caramel malt flavor and mild hop character creates a beautifully rich-colored beer with deep amber highlights that finishes smooth and clean. With only 99 calories, Yuengling Light Lager is a uniquely refreshing beer that brings new dimension to the meaning light beer. What we Think: Is it drinkable? Hell yeah it is! It's a light beer that doesn't taste like water. For a light beer, it maintains a lot of the flavor of the original Yuengling Lager.See other offerings from Yuengling and where to get it.

2. The perfect beer for anyone who wants to join in the spirit of arguably the world’s greatest festival. A traditional Märzen-style beer, our Leinenkugel’s® Oktoberfest has a toasted malt flavor and subtle, spicy hop notes that make it perfect for celebrating fall in true German fashion. Commercial Description: A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations. What we Think: The flavor of the hops is not overpowering. As the beer warms, the caramel flavor comes out a little more, with a perfect bitter finish. The only thing it needs it a couple of Brats and an evening of football.See other offerings from Leinenkugel's and where to get it.

guinness blonde

3. A Crisp refreshing tasting beer with a rich , delicious flavor. Brewed in America in the Guinness traditions known only to our master brewers with our famous Guinness yeast and Mosaic and Willamette American hops. From Guinness: The result is a crisp, light, but flavorful beer characteristic of the 1930's American Pale Ale Lager style with just a little 'more' hoppy and citrus characteristics and a unique biscuit malt taste that begs to be experienced. What we think: Smooth, not hoppy, clean beer, that does present a slight citrus finish. Not one that will be in the fridge all the time, but maybe every once in a while.See other offerings from Guinness and where to get it.

mad hatter

4. Mad Hatter’s whimsy is celebrated with floral aromatics from assertive dry-hopping, and a bright, hoppy body, punctuated with Centennial, Citra and Michigan-grown Cascade hops. Citrus and pleasant bitterness excite your palate before welcoming a balancing finish. What we think: Mad Hatter is too hoppy and flowery for my taste. The description says it all with floral aromatics.See other offerings from New Holland Brewing and where to get it.

row hard

5. Root Sellers Row Hard Root Beer is an alcoholic root beer brewed with pure cane sugar, molasses, spices and botanicals. It is a true root beer inspired by the traditional brews first made by American colonists more than two centuries ago. It has a creamy head with notes of vanilla, molasses, sassafras and wintergreen with a sweet finish. Row Hard Root Beer brewed without grain and it is gluten free. From the Can: Root Beer is a quintessentially American beverage first brewed by colonists using domestic roots, herbs, and spices. These historic small beers did not contain much alcohol.Root Sellers has created a BIG root beer with an alcohol content that pays homage to its roots...Yes, it is great with ice cream. "It's a jolly good day for a boat fight!"What we think: Not a fan. The wintergreen changes the flavor a little too much. This root beer is not overly sweet, like some of the other out there (reviews coming).See other offerings from Root Sellers.[mwi-cat-listing cat="94" ppp="4" cols="4" desc="false" type="view" btn_color="black" ]
