Here we go again with news that isn't really news, but it's news because someone got their feelings hurt or someone was worried someone would get their feelings hurt. On New Year's Eve, U.S. Strategic Command made a tweet about being ready to drop something much bigger than the ball. For those of you who don't know, they control our bomber fleets that can carry both nuclear weapons and non-nuclear weapons.The tweet and we quote reads;

"#TimeSquare tradition rings in the #NewYear by dropping the big ball...if ever needed, we are #ready to drop something much, much bigger. Watch to the end! @AFGlobalStrike @Whiteman_AFB #Deterrence #Assurance #CombatReadyForce #PeaceIsOurProfession..."

The video features a B-2 bomber dropping bombs that explode.Oh, the humanity! Oh dear lord, someone at U.S. Strategic Command has a sense of humor. Call off the celebrations! The command that is responsible for dropping bombs made a joke about dropping bombs! What ever shall we do in this cruel violent world when a bunch of bombers make a joke about dropping bombs? That's almost as bad as infantrymen making jokes about making the green grass grow! It's 2018 we need to be much more friendly and politically correct when it comes to dropping bombs on people. Maybe we should rather say "...if ever needed we are #ready to wrap our foes in swaddling clothes and sing them a lullaby."Obviously, we're not serious, that would be pants on head ridiculous. It'd be more f***ed up than a football bat!The U.S. Strategic Command deleted the original tweet and posted an apology. Why? We're not sure. What is there to apologize for? I feel like they made it pretty clear with "if ever needed." Hey, guys, do you want your strategic bombers to not be ready to drop bombs? Would you like them to be ill-prepared? Would you like them ready to drop flowers and unicorn shit?We say boo to the apology and yay for the initial tweet. As Powerman 5000 once stated, "Get up, get up, get up drop the bombshell!"
