So you want to have massive success in your life. Do you want to run a good business, play in the NFL, or maybe drop that new single and be the next pop star? I want to tell you the secret that I've discovered (and other successful people in human history have also discovered) to achieve a special life of success.[caption id="attachment_10392" align="alignnone" width="1024"]

Magic Bullet that poops rainbows and success because...it's magic.[/caption]Let me tell you a story.I remember when I started GruntStyle.com a few years ago. I had no business being in business. I literally 'Googled', "What is business?" and read the best results (this didn't help much, by the way). Then, as I would drive down the road, I would look out at these large buildings with their own employees, trucks with their logo on it... and this just baffled me. How do they get to that point? I had no employees and barely enough money to pay my suppliers. I was miserable. After a few months, my wife, Elizabeth, turned to me and told me it was time to shut down our doors for good. We could try something else later, but for now, we couldn't afford to stay in business anymore. I asked her for one more chance. I had an opportunity to conduct our first trade show in Las Vegas and made a deal with her that if we could bring in $6,000 in sales during that show, we would stay open. If we could not make that money, I would agree to shut down Grunt Style.

We had very little money when we arrived in Las Vegas. We took the free shuttle to the hotel and walked about 1.5 Miles to the local grocery store and bought a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter. Those delicious sandwiches made up almost every meal we had for the next 3 days. My smart wife did splurge on a Groupon for a meal that probably cost us $15.We hustled the entire show, working our butts off. She wore a tight shirt and went around the trade show telling prospects to come by our booth and then I would try to sell our awesome new product. I knew we had a great product, and it sold well to consumers, but our prospects were usually of an older crowd and it was a tougher sell to them. We gave it our all in that show.[caption id="attachment_690" align="alignnone" width="1024"]

Poor Liz passed out before the plane even took off because she was so exhausted. While she slept, I totaled up the receipts of our efforts. It was a grand total of $6,200; just enough to be depressed about being in business. I slouched into my coach seat and sat there frustrated."Why is this so difficult?" I kept saying to myself. Then, I pulled out my yellow legal pad and drew a line down the center. I wrote down the name of every business that was successful, regardless of industry or product, on the left side. On the right side, I wrote down what they were doing that I wasn't. I wanted to learn from those that are better than me.

I must have written 12 to 20 different items that I could execute on right away, maybe not in the same capacity but in the direction of those who are better than me.I didn't realize it at the time but I'd just discovered the Secret Magic Bullet to Success. Do you want to know what it is?First, it's a secret. But it's a secret because you have to be humble enough to recognize it. I've seen plenty of very skilled and smart individuals who absolutely are the cause of their own failures because they always want to be one the with the idea and be the smartest person in the room.So the magic bullet to a life of massive success is, there is no one thing. If you want to be successful, you should have more of a shot gun or machine gun approach than a just a single round. The truth is, it takes a lot of little things to get you to your dreams. Let me prove it to you:[caption id="attachment_10400" align="alignnone" width="1024"]

Daniel Alarik doing push-ups in the parking lot of Grunt Style 2016[/caption]Let's say you want to be the best at Push-Ups. The obvious truth is that doing more push ups regularly will make you better, but it's not going to get you to the top. You need to probably drop a few pounds so that you weigh less when you push up and down. You can construct a specific diet regiment so you gain the appropriate amount of lean muscle. You can also make sure you schedule in the right amount of rest so that your muscles grow. There can be a myriad of other attributes that will make you the best.So here's the deal. If you want to just do one thing to get there, you're going to end up being average, but if you want to have massive success, you need to learn from others who are better than you and try all the things that they are doing. There is no one thing, there is no magic bullet. Instead, it will take a lot of little things to get you to the success you want in life. There is no end to the story here, but I can tell you this; as I write this article just a few years later, we've gone from zero to over 200 full-time employees making an impact. When I get asked how I did it, I tell them it's the fantastic team that we have. There's no one person, there's no one thing that we're doing so differently, it's the team and everything that we do that adds up to our success. So get out there, learn from others, and make the sum of your efforts equal massive success.
