While it's no secret that Cuba and the Soviet Un..Diet Soviet Union are really great friends, it's not super often that the Ruskies send one of their most advanced ships to Cuba although they have done so from time to time. It's not really a threatening move despite being a mere 90 miles off the coast of Florida, just more of a routine "If you can do FONOPs, then so can we," posturing move by the Admiral Gorshkov, Russia's newest most advanced frigate. To counter and shadow her movements, the United States sent the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham to ensure that no shenanigans were had. It's not surprising that the ship made a port call in Havana, as we've already stated, the Diet Soviet Union and Cuba have a long history of friendly relations with one another in addition to their current support for Nicholas Maduro, who is holding Venezuela in a death grip.Oh did we forget that was still going on? It is. Maduro is still being a dickhead, we're just focusing on our ex-girlfriend the Middle East right now because, well she's crazy and you know how them crazy gals are. They ruin your life, but the sex is soooooo damn good. While the Admiral Gorshkov is Russia's most advanced frigate, the Arleigh Burke destroyers still have the offensive edge and will do some major damage if not sink should Russia get stupid, which of course they won't, not so close to American territorial waters, that would be a surefire way to kick off the WW3 Boogaloo. So if anyone is really truly worried about one Russian frigate that we know about and are shadowing with a heavily armed warship of our own...like...calm down chicken little, they're not gonna kick off the end of humanity with one ship. And if they do...like well that'll suck for Florida, but at least maybe it'll finally rid you guys of those pesky invasive pythons that are gorging themselves on everything they can get their mouths around......just like Russia's mom.
