The success continues for the Las Vegas Golden Knights as William Karlsson rocketed the winning goal past San Jose Shark goalkeeper in overtime of last nights Game 3. The Knights have had a stellar, some might even say breakout year as an expansion team with the best record in the Pacific Division. William Karlsson himself hasn't had too shabby of a year either.Last nights goal was exactly what we've come to expect from the all-star Swede who is turning heads with his play this year. With 43 goals and 35 assists, he's had an outstanding year leading the team in goals.
With the series tied at one game apiece, the Cinderella story of the Golden Knights needed last nights momentum to keep the season going as they head into the Shark Tank for game four. San Jose is no slouch of a team and any edge our Knights can get is going to be beneficial for what is hopefully a trip to the Stanley Cup finals! With a blowout in game one by the Golden Knights, it was a pretty sure bet that the Sharks would be in the hunt for blood as they took a close game 2 barely edging out the Knights by a single point. This game three was critical in retaking the momentum that they had coming into the series. With the exhausting but exciting overtime win, there is a possibility that the Sharks may be feeling defeated and be easy pickings in game four. We don't expect Coach Gallant to take it easy though. In enemy territory up 2-1 in the series, we expect the Knights to come out all guns blazing rocketing pucks at the net with unrivaled ferocity and determination.
With weapons like Karlsson and Neal, it shouldn't be too tall of an order to fill for the NHL's newest team.
