Olympic Update!Well now, what do we have here. Looks like some intense competition from some of the European countries. Norway leads the medal count with eight total medals, although only one gold. Germany is in second place with six total medals, tied with Canada and the Netherlands has five. The United States is sitting squarely in fifth place with four total medals as of this morning. We're not worried though, those forever winter countries usually come on strong early in the games, but don't have the staying power to outlast the United States and our phenomenal athletes. With gold medals in Men's and Women's Snowboard Slopestyle, Red Gerard and Jamie Anderson both killed it, setting the standard for the rest of Team U.S.A. In a historic run, Chris Mazdzer won the first medal ever for the United States in Men's Single's Luge. Despite two previous Olympic finishes of 13th place, the eye of the tiger was with Chris this go around as he beat out the favorites from Germany to win the silver medal.

Olympic Update

We're not going to say we're super proud to admit we watched all of the Ice Dance/Figure Skating, but we did, because it's Team U.S.A and we've got their backs! In the Mixed Team event, we were able to pull off a bronze and despite not getting gold the individual athletes were encouraged to beat out so many other great teams and get on the podium. We can't wait to see what they do in their individual events with this encouraging finish. In Women's Ice Hockey, the gold has yet to be determined, but the women of Team U.S.A showed the Finnish women what American Grit is made of as they held off one of the stronger teams with a final score of 3-1. Tuesday the American women will take on the Olympic Athletes from Russia. The Men's team takes on Slovakia on Wednesday.
