Robert Oberst is a strongman based on the West Coast. A couple of years ago he produced this video on his eating habits for Vice's FUEL series, videos which showcase the diets of high-performing athletes.In this video, he talks about his massive 20,000 calorie-per-day diet, where he consumes nearly four pounds of meat each day.Strongman is a sport with no weight limits and one real objective: figure out who can lift the most weight. To be bigger is better, and the massive poundage these men (and women) lift during competition isn't scaled down.To be the strongest in the world, Robert Oberst and others like him do strength exercises ranging from yoke carries, deadlifts and squats to atlas stone loading, truck pulling and crucifix holds.
