1 suspect is currently in custody after a shooting at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida left multiple dead and at least 6 others injured. The shooting took place at around 1 PM.

According to the Broward County Sheriff, the situation is no longer dangerous, and the airport is under control again. There has been very minimal impact to flights, and most airplanes are still landing on schedule.

The shooting reportedly took place at the baggage claim area. Ari Fleischer, a former spokesman for the White House, tweeted out from the airport saying "everyone is running."

He later went on to say that the part of the airport that he is in has been locked down and that no one is yet allowed to leave.
