New Long Drive Champion Crowned

Winning the world championship for long drive is no easy task. Just ask new long drive champion, Jeff Crittenden. With a 367 yard drive on September 1st, the "Critter" Jeff Crittenden was on the prowl. With a wind blowing into the competitors face at the WinStar World Casino and resort, the Greensboro, North Carolina, resident by way of Philadelphia knew what needed to be done.

It wasn't long ago, in 2014 in fact, that was supposed to be the year Critter retired but after finishing runner up by a mere 13 inches, Crittenden found a renewed passion and drive to be on top of the mountain. When asked what he would do with the 20,000 first place prize money, the owner of North Carolina Academy and driving range in High Point, said: "I'm looking at a ball dispenser for the range, fun right?" Crittenden will be performing at the Grunt Style golf classic 27 OCT in Orlando, Florida.World Long Drive has emerged as one of golf’s most popular grass-roots, sporting events.
