Top Olympic Moments

Folks, the Olympics are our favorite time of year. Every two years we get to come together as a nation and tell all the other nations in a very friendly competitive spirit, nanny-nanny boo-boo we're better than you. The Winter Olympics in 2018 is no exception to this rule. No, they're not the super exciting Summer Olympics like everyone loves, but still, we get to watch America totally beat everyone else (except in Hockey...are we good in hockey...damnit Canada). So to get you hyped we're going to throw down the top Olympic moments for Americans of all time.

1. MiracleLook, it's no secret that there are a lot, and we mean a lot of great hockey nations on this planet. The United States has not always been known as one, whereas Russia/Soviet Union was probably the best for a long time running. He is just a category in and of himself. When you win a record 28 medals in swimming, 23 of which are gold medals over the span of 4 Olympics, you're basically Poseidon. However, the best Michael Phelps (Poseidon) moment of all time has got the be the stare down in Rio de Janeiro of competitor Chad le Clois. Chad had no idea what was coming for him.3. Jesse Owens

In 1936 Jesse Owens made Adolph Hitler look like a total moron (not hard to do) at the Berlin Olympic games. What a brilliant piece of historical foreshadowing for Hitler. America was going to kick your ass bro. Competing in four events and winning gold medals in each of them Jesse Owens will forever be known as one of the greatest Olympians of all time.4. Kerri Strug

Wow. What else is there to say about Kerri? During the 1996 Olympics, the gymnast injured her ankle on her first vault attempt. On her second attempt, she landed briefly on both legs but then transferred to her good ankle. This ensured the first-ever U.S. gold medal for the Women's gymnastics team event.5. The Dream TeamThere is no denying it. A team comprised of Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Chris Mullin and Christian Laettner literally wiped the floor with every team except Croatia in the gold medal game, who they only beat 117-85 (close game).
